Dr. Kendra Gardiner-Hall

Doctor Kendra Gardiner-Hall is an experienced doctor with more than 17 years of family medicine experience. Her early days began on the island of North Caicos, Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), where she grew up and began primary and tertiary education. After graduating from Raymond Gardiner High School (RGHS) in 1994, she pursued an Associate of Science degree in Biochemistry from the College of the Bahamas (now University of the Bahamas) in 1998. She then began studies at the University of the West Indies to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. She then matriculated to the University of the West Indies School of Medicine in 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery in 2005.

Dr. Gardiner-Hall is an advocate for affordable health care for her community and has participated in mission trips to the ‘Family Islands’ in the TCI to offer free health screening; she supported community outreach churches in Blue Hills with a focus on women’s health, she has also partnered with an NPO called Jewels Ablaze to support women’s outreach and empowerment initiatives, and she engages with her al alma mater RGHS to support school health outreach and youth empowerment initiatives.

Dr. Gardiner-Hall is also an entrepreneur, with her most notable business achievement being FamilyCare Medical Services, a private health clinic in the TCI she started with her husband in 2008. Her vision for FamilyCare Medical is to cater to each member of the Family, including pediatric patients right up to geriatric patients, and take a holistic treatment approach. She believes it is essential to listen to and hear each patient’s spoken and unspoken words and meet each one at the point of their need. She also believes in taking an individualistic approach to patient care since no two patients are the same and reassuring patients that their best interests and well-being are always FamilyCare Medical’s priority.

When her white coat is hung up and she is out of the office, Dr. Gardiner-Hall enjoys gardening, traveling, and cooking. She has a full garden of tropical fruits, vegetables, and plants in my backyard garden, which she uses to prepare meals. She believes the world is our playground, and although God, in His magnificent creation, has made us all uniquely different, we are all interconnected in some way, and this is evident when I travel and experience the rest of the world.

When it comes to cooking, growing up, good food was an expression of love in her home, and as an extension, she too enjoyed creating different dishes to tease the tastebuds of those who grace my home with their presence.

When you ask Dr. Gardiner-Hall about her passion, this is how she puts it: “I am passionate about helping people! My interest in Medicine developed when I was a child when I marveled at the creation of God’s Hands and wondered how I could be used as a vessel to help bring healing to those in need.”
