About RT PCR

The medical diagnosis of COVID-19 is challenging, since its symptoms are highly variable and can range from asymptomatic condition to flu-like or even life-threatening symptoms like respiratory distress. Therefore, the WHO recommends screening for the COVID-19 virus via nucleic acid amplification tests, such as RT-PCR.
